Overview of the is Week Due Monday - Annotated Bibliography (40 points) Due Friday - Revision of Chapter 8 questions This week we will view, conclude and discuss "The True Cost" in conjunction with Chapter 4 of your course text, Work and Workers Right (The Dignity of Work). We will be making the connections between Rights and Responsibilities and the Dignity of Work and why these themes are so important in a global economy and spiritual life. Assignments :  1. There are questions to be competed for the film (Parts I, II and III) in the packet distributed last week. Please complete accordingly. 2. Please refer to the key videos from last week on "Solidarity" and the Common Good" 3. If need be, revise and re-submit your Chapter 8 questions by Friday. 4. Week Nine March 18th to March 22nd

 The themes of S olidarity and the Common good will be explored more closely this week. (Please see last week's videos on these two important themes.) Pope Francis on the shootings in New Zealand - "Heartfelt Solidarity" https://cruxnow.com/church-in-asia-oceania/2019/03/15/pope-expresses-heartfelt-solidarity-with-nz-muslims-after-mosque-attacks/ This week we will continue working within our Praxis researching our topics and working in developing an annotated bibliography that will be due Monday of next week. You are working on the questions I posed for Chapter 8. The responses to these are due Thursday, March 21st. This week and next (before Spring Break), we will next we will look at  The Dignity of Work and Rights of Workers Readings will be assigned and we will watch a documentary on this theme in Catholic Social Teaching

Week Eight March 12th to March 15th Mission Week

This is a "full" week and one that offers fond memories for your Junior class. Mission week will present some opportunities to include within the curriculum our prayerful consideration of  Operation Rice Bowl  https://www.crsricebowl.org/    along with efforts to educate ourselves about the struggles and joys of the people of Panama.
