This week we will "unpack" further the Introduction and Chapter of our text "See, Judge,Act."

 A quiz on some key terms and people will be given Monday, February 4th. A graded homework assignment on a current event will be collected next week Days 7/8( 2/6 & 2/7) Days. The movie "Citizen King" will be shown the following week, the week of February 4th

2. Finish Reading Introduction & begin reading Chapter 1 of course text.

3. Read article "A new approach to Trump's immigration policy:See, judge,act." (America Magazine, July 6. 2018)

A key component to understanding justice (social justice) is the pursuit of Truth. Truth is vital as a response to suffering in the world and a key component of compassion. Another word for compassion is empathy, identifying with the suffering of others. To highlight this, consider what takes place in the scene from the movie "A Time to Kill."
